Volunteers renovating a community space

Community & Development

Better spaces are
only the beginning.

As Aboshkal grows, we use our skills, resources and network to train the next generation and to help people in our community who genuinely need a hand.

What we invest in

Three commitments.

01

Training the next generation

Apprenticeships and hands-on training that give young people real skills and a career they can carry for life.

02

Giving back

Using our trades and resources to help deserving people and families in our community.

03

Raising the standard

Giving honest, dependable trades a platform, and changing how people see the industry.

Career development

Who we build up can change everything.

Our twelve-month program pairs young people aged 16 to 24 with experienced trades. Apprentices earn while they learn, rotate through carpentry, finishing and project coordination, and finish with real references and a portfolio of real work.
